From my eighth-floor window I can see the drops of rain delicately insert themselves into puddles and ponds. Colorful umbrellas and colorful rain ponchos on the bike riders brighten the green scene below.
Car tires pressing down on the wet road make a lovely squishing noise. The rain drops hit my air-conditioner unit outside my windows -- it sounds like rain hitting a tin roof. Mimi is curled up in a corner snoring away. These sounds serve as the soundtrack for my afternoon nap. It is a rainy Saturday in Bamboo Forest.
It's a good day for cleaning out closets, shredding papers, and making cookies. I did all those today.
I love days like this.
